Happy Labor Day!

Happy Labor Day from all of us at

Eddie Mercer Automotive!

History of Labor Day

Labor Day was first celebrated in New York in 1882 and was declared a national holiday in 1894. It is a holiday traditionally marking the end of summer and to celebrate the workers of the United States.

Labor Day Traditions

As the unofficial end of the summer season, Labor Day is traditionally celebrated by one last beach trip, vacation, or just grilling by the pool with friends and family. It is estimated that between Memorial Day and Labor Day of 2016, Americans consumed over 7 billion hot dogs. How much mustard do you think was used?
